Welcome to Little Pickles

Our Preschool and Nursery

Our Little Pickles Ebrington Preschool and Nursery is based at the Ebrington site of St. James' and Ebrington CofE Primary School and has two spacious indoor learning environments and the use of the fantastic outdoor amenities, which we are continuing to develop over time with the support of funds and income from the nursery.

Our nursery has its own dedicated indoor and outdoor learning spaces; including a fabulous outdoor learning forest area. In January 2023, we opened our preschool room for children who are in their preschool year. Our nursery room is the base for our two and three-year-old children. Both rooms are staffed with experienced and fully qualified practitioners.

The children come together for snack, lunch, and outdoor learning time each day to build relationships with their peers and Little Pickles staff members. They are encouraged to sit and eat snack and lunch together at the table with their peers. Milk, fresh fruit and vegetables are provided for snack time and hot lunches are available at an additional charge, which are prepared and delivered from our kitchen at the St. James' site or the children can bring a packed lunch with them.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines to support and encourage the children to learn and grow the best way possible for each of them, promoting child led learning alongside some adult led activities which the children are invited to take part in. Staff plan activities that are interesting, challenging and fun, enabling the children to grow and learn whilst they play.
